This idea came from a bit of necessity and suggestion. My first overnight trip was eight days. Fresh water was only available every other day. At one point it was three days between water supplies. I wasn't about to carry a bunch of water bottles or one big jug. I didn't want the hassle of keeping up with the bottles or the struggle of fighting a big jug through a hatch. One of the members of the group had some durable plastic bags in which he had stored water. After using them, I thought, what a good idea. So I searched for a bag that was easy to fill, reusable and able to dispense the water that had an easy open secure spigot. After a few bags and several different spigots, I discovered the current configuration worked the best. I needed to protect the liner from damage. I found a fabric that was extremely durable and was UV stable. I believe the BOATABAG is a product everyone will appreciate; easy to fill, easy to dispense, a durable container, and it fits in every boat. I was pleasantly suprised to be able to develope this product with only three components.
